How membership works
Dancers become RTA members through an affiliated troupe: there's no direct membership route for individual dancers or parents. Your troupe leader handles affiliation and fees on your behalf.
Royal Twirling Association (RTA) is a trading name of RTA Twirling & Events Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17174281), whose registered office is at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
What's included
• Eligibility to enter RTA-affiliated competitions, including the Royal Grand Open.
• Access to the current RTA rule book across all 8 disciplines.
• Coverage under RTA's safeguarding and code of conduct framework at every affiliated event.
Fees
£5 per dancer, per year, paid by the troupe leader in bulk as part of the Troupe Affiliation Agreement. Dancers and parents never pay RTA directly.
Renewal
Membership renews annually alongside your troupe's affiliation.
Cancellation
A dancer's membership ends if they leave an affiliated troupe, or if the troupe's affiliation lapses or is terminated.
