RTA has zero tolerance for bullying of any kind, in person, at events, or online, whether it involves dancers, parents, coaches or judges.

What counts as bullying
Repeated behaviour intended to hurt, intimidate or exclude someone, including name-calling, exclusion from a troupe or team, physical intimidation, and bullying via social media or messaging (cyberbullying).
Our responsibilities
• Troupe leaders and coaches should watch for signs of bullying within their troupe and act on them.
• RTA officials should take any report seriously and follow it up promptly and confidentially.
Reporting
Anyone experiencing or witnessing bullying should tell a troupe leader, RTA official, or email safeguarding@royaltwirlingassociation.co.uk. Concerns involving a child's welfare are handled under our Safeguarding Policy.
What happens next
Reports are investigated fairly and confidentially. Outcomes may include mediation, a formal warning, or suspension from RTA events, in line with the Complaints & Disciplinary Policy.
